About the Tutor

Caroline has done art all her life and at university gained a BA (Fine Arts) Honours degree obtaining firsts for painting and design. Thereafter she worked in the film industry.

She fell into the Australian art enthusiasm as soon as she moved here twenty five years ago, immediately picking up art teaching when attending a watercolour class.

Two of her favorite achievements are being a finalist in the 2008 Black Swan Portrait Prize, and running the plein air workshops for the Gallery of West Australia in 2010 in conjunction with the Mc Cubbin exhibition.

She has won many art awards, including the Melville Association Art Awards in 2002, The Mosman Park Art Awards in 2007, the Kondinin Art Prize in 2014, and the Cockburn Art Awards in 2017.  She is secretary of the West Australian Portrait Artists Association.

Caroline enjoyed judging the West Australian Pastel Society Art Awards and the Chittering Art Society Awards.

She teaches a variety of art mediums to adults at two different art centres and has demonstrated her skills to various art groups.
