Class Description

Do you want to learn how to paint still life? Practicing still life painting will help you understand the rules in painting. This is a great opportunity to master the main components of drawing and painting. On the course you will learn :

  1. Composition
  2. Mix colors
  3. Rules of lights and shadows
  4. Reflections

The course is designed to cover a few terms. In the first term you will learn painting rules using simple still life subjects. We will paint objects with cold and warm light.  We will study how colour changes in the shadows under different lighting conditions and how reflections work on objects. I will introduce you to paintings of great masters from the 17th to the 21st century.

Your still life painting will decorate any kitchen and dining room and will be a wonderful gift for your friends.

Tetyana studied at Moscow Industrial Art University.  She developed her love of art by  visiting galleries and museums across Europe.  She loves to work in oil medium and particularly loves portraiture, which shows the secret beauty of the soul, mood and relevant to surrounding the world.

Tetyana exhibits regularly and has won awards at the MCAA awards and at Alfred Cove Art Society. She paints portrait commissions and painted a portrait of an Australian inventor of farm machinery for Royal Agricultural Society of WA .
